"If it ain’t on the page, it ain’t on the stage” - Fred Finklehoffe (writer of 'Meet Me in St. Louis')

Story Point was established in 2012 by professional editor and writer, Kieran Grimes, due to a lack of script analysis services in Ireland by script editors with proven industry credentials. Listening to emerging and experienced writers, Kieran realised that regardless of expertise, writers would welcome industry-standard feedback before submitting a film or TV script, and in some cases, before even developing an idea.

In 2007, Kieran joined RTE’s award-winning medical drama series, The Clinic, for several seasons, initially as script researcher, then progressing to script editor and eventually series editor.

In 2010, Kieran began storylining for RTE's soap opera, Fair City, a role that has included story editing, script editing and scriptwriting. He also acts as a script consultant and reader for both national and independent funding agencies in Ireland and the UK, and he worked as a mentor on the MA in Screenwriting at the Huston School of Film & Digital Media, NUI Galway.

In 2015, Kieran moved to TV3's critically acclaimed police drama, Red Rock, as script editor, and he currently tutors for the Professional Writing Academy on John Yorke's 'Story for Screenwriting' course.
